At the core of KBN is the belief that nutrition can transform your life and help you live more freely. We also believe that we can tap into that power with confidence and joy instead of fear and restriction.
Maybe you've been bloated for so long you've forgotten what a normal day feels like.
Maybe you're exhausted in a way that sleep doesn't fix — the kind of tired that's become so familiar you've started calling it your personality.
Maybe you've sat across from a doctor who told you everything looks fine, handed you a pamphlet, and sent you on your way. And you walked out of that appointment feeling more alone than when you walked in.
So you did what the rest of us do.
You went online. You read everything. You tried gluten free, dairy free, low FODMAP, a new supplement every month, the thing your friend swore changed her life. You collected information like it was going to save you.
And you still don't feel like yourself.
Not because you weren't trying hard enough. Not because the answer doesn't exist. But because more information was never the thing you were missing.
When I was studying nutrition, I was simultaneously overwhelmed by it. The internet had a different answer every day and the research I was reading was full of contradictions. I was desperate to heal my relationship with food, but I had more information than I knew what do with. At times, all this information made me feel somehow more confused. I knew too much with absolutely no filter to discern what actually applied to me and my story.
Meanwhile, my body was quietly struggling in ways I didn't fully undesrtand yet.
I was dealing with persistent acne — trying topical treatments, adjusting my diet, doing all the things — while dealing with chronic fatigue so severe I took a year off of school. What I didn't know at the time was that blood sugar imbalances combined with chronic undereating and depletion had created a hormonal storm underneath the surface. My burnout was just an unfortunate byproduct of internal deficiencies.
Once I started learning more about the power of functional nutrition, things really clicked in to place. My own testing helped me uncover a nutrient toxicity that had contributed to years of anxiety. Turns out? I only needed 3 weeks and a simple protocol to feel steady again.
These experience didn't just change how I felt. They changed how I practice. I realized the conventional model — short appointments, standard labs, and bandaid solutions — was leaving too many people exactly where I used to be. And yet, the functional world is so quick to jump to elimination diets, restriction, and fear. A perfect storm to challenge your recovery and relationship with food.
So I built something different. A practice that uses functional testing to actually see whats happening inside your body, combined with the kind of personalized support that makes this information empowering instead of overwhelming. So that you can finally break through your symptoms and feel at peace with food.
